Pope Paul VI entrusts Canadian Archbishop Édouard Gagnon with an extraordinary mission: to investigate serious allegations of corruption and infiltration within the Roman Curia.At the time, the young priest Charles Theodore Murr was living with Gagnon and became a direct witness to the threats, the pressure, and the attempts to deliver to the Pope an investigation that could implicate some of the most powerful men in the Vatican.The story reaches its climax in 1978, the Year of the Three Popes: the death of Paul VI, the thirty-three-day pontificate of John Paul I, and the election of John Paul II.Nearly half a century later, Fr.
